Terms of Use

What your access includes, how the learning tools work, and the responsibilities that come with using them.

Updated October 21, 2026Version 2026-10-21TuneSteps · Roseburg, Oregon

One payment. Educational access. No subscription.

1. The service and operator

TuneSteps is an independent online learning service operated under the name TuneSteps in Roseburg, Oregon, United States. Contact: tunelabservice@gmail.com. These terms cover tunesteps.com, its free resources, and the paid learning lab. By using the service, you agree to these terms. Read the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy before purchasing.

2. Your account and purchase

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to create an account or purchase. Use an email address you control and keep sign-in codes private. Access is for your individual use; do not share or resell your account.

A purchase provides access to the lessons and tools described at checkout. It is a one-time payment in USD, with no recurring subscription. The introductory price is $10 for the published two-week launch period; the regular price is $20. Your checkout shows the actual amount before you pay. Access begins after payment is confirmed and is tied to the purchasing account.

There is no promised lifetime hosting term, permanent availability, or entitlement to every future product or feature. This is not a subscription that must be renewed. If a material change prevents us from supplying purchased access, contact us for a remedy under the Refund Policy and applicable law.

3. Education, simulation, and log findings

TuneSteps teaches concepts using synthetic practice tables, simulated logs, calculators, and rule-based analysis of imported CSV files. These tools do not read, write, flash, or remotely tune a vehicle. Vehicle selections provide learning context and do not establish compatibility with a particular controller, operating system, or calibration.

Analysis identifies possible patterns and checks to investigate. It cannot confirm a mechanical fault, determine that a calibration is safe, or replace measurements and professional judgment. Missing channels, incorrect units, sensor faults, and unusual file formats can affect results. Validate the source data and calculations before relying on them.

No custom tune files, remote tuning, vehicle diagnosis, or individual tuning instruction are included. Account and billing assistance are available by email. Do not use the site while driving. Vehicle work requires appropriate equipment, safe testing conditions, and compliance with applicable laws, including emissions and anti-theft requirements.

4. Permitted use and original projects

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the purchased learning workspace while your access is active. You may export your own progress, notes, and analysis reports for personal use. Do not redistribute the paid course or software, sell copies, bypass access controls, impersonate others, or interfere with the service.

External software and documentation remain subject to their owners’ licenses and terms. Linking a project does not grant a license to it. TuneSteps is not affiliated with or endorsed by GM, HP Tuners, EFILive, PCM Hammer, Universal Patcher, or other listed providers. Unofficial modifications are labeled separately.

5. Progress and availability

Progress, vehicle profiles, and notes are stored in your browser rather than synchronized across devices. Use the export feature to keep a backup. Clearing browser storage, changing devices, or using private browsing can remove local progress. Signing out does not necessarily erase local progress on a shared device.

We may maintain, correct, or update the service. Outages in hosting, email, account verification, or payment verification can temporarily prevent access. We may suspend access for misuse or a refunded or disputed purchase, subject to applicable rights. Contact us if access appears incorrect.

6. Refunds and payment questions

You may request a full refund within seven days of purchase under our Refund Policy, including if you have used the lab. Access supplied by a refunded purchase ends. A payment dispute may pause the associated access while reviewed. These terms do not limit any non-waivable consumer rights.

7. Accuracy and responsibility

We work to provide useful educational material, but do not promise a particular learning outcome, repair, power increase, fuel economy, or suitability for a specific vehicle. To the extent permitted by law, the tools and information are provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or error-free content.

You are responsible for decisions and modifications you make outside the learning workspace. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, or limits the stated Refund Policy. If you believe an error has affected your purchase, contact us so we can investigate.

8. Updates and contact

This version is dated October 21, 2026. We will post changes here and give notice of material changes through the site or account email as appropriate. We will not use an update to remove a refund right already attached to an earlier purchase. For account, billing, content corrections, or terms questions, email tunelabservice@gmail.com.
